How to Become a Christian

“A, B, C’s of Faith”

Admit you are a sinner, unable to help yourself, deserving God’s judgment, and in need of a Savior. As Romans 3:23 states “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

Believe that Jesus is the Son of God, fully God and fully human, and offered His life on the cross to take away your sin. As John 20:31 states, But these are written so that you may believe Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and by believing you may have life in His name.”

Confess before God and others your desire to serve Christ as the Lord of your life; confess your faith in Him as your only Savior, and confess your need for help from the Holy Spirit. As Romans 10:9 states, if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”

In making these statements, you will be recognizing 1) your unworthiness, 2) the sacrifice of Christ for you, 3) the Lordship of Christ in your life, and 4) your need of the assistance of the Holy Spirit to walk in this new life.

It is appropriate for you, in a simple way, to bow before the Lord to invite him into your life and to fill you with His Holy Spirit.

If you have accepted Christ or made another important decision, please share this with our Pastor, or call the church at (931) 388.6453.
